Fighting corruption :the Nigerian spirit
Related to country: Nigeria

EFCC, economic and finacial crime comission is on the news, This is a machinerry set up by the current Nigerian leader President Obasanjo to fight corruption, it is parastal that oversees and check public office holders excess and corruption in Nigeria.
On the news the number two citizen is on the sledge hammer of the EFCC, the whole world is watching seeing where the case is going. But something baffels the mind of many Nigerians (me inclusive) is the EFCC working for good or is it a tool for politcal warfare? Is it really fighting corruption or is it a mere machinery for tracking down political opponent.
" EFCC or no EFCC the issue of corruption practices is still high in Nigeria" Why are few chosen to be the scape goats? THIS IS NOT A GOOD FIGHTING SPIRIT FOR A NATION LIKE NIGERIA.

....the issue in Africa
Related to country: Zambia

I took time to watch every bit of CNN programe inside Africa with topic "living with AIDS".
I broke down into tears and feeling very sad of what I saw on the programme. It pains me that all effort and generousity of the Global communities commited to fight this scourge is not yeilding very well.I can see some people non chalant about the message being spread across, some boasts of never using condoms, while sex workers took it as an solgan use condoms less pay ,without it more money .I was alarmed by the number of deaths, children orphaned and the effect it has on the African economy.
The question I ask is what is to be done that havent been done to address this issue in africa.

we need prayers
Related to country: Pakistan

The world is facing a catastrophe.I wonder what is happeing with the recent waves of natural disasters facing us.It was tsunami to hurricanens now earthquake, land slides.....which one more plus the ragging terrorist attacks. The questions remains is this avoidable?how do we encroach it?what do we do to tackle it?
To myself I think the world need prayers which beget peace...and hope.we need to come together as one world one voice and harken unto our creator for hope.
I send my sympathies to those in Pakistan, praying more lives will be saved from the earth quake.and to those in Guatemela where there is mudslides and the Iraquies who are facing more voilence, may peace reign and disaters stop.
